The word Oragon is a Bicol slang for somebody who is a fighter — feisty, determined, one who perseveres passionately without giving up, unafraid of consequences, and one who stands up for his or her principles.

Bicolanos are known as Oragons who bravely face day-to-day challenges especially during calamities or disasters.

In pursuit of the delivery of social services, DSWD Region V exhibits resilience and excellence in the field of public service emanating the mark of “Serbisyong Oragon sa Lahat ng Panahon”.

As the agency navigates the challenges of our time, the Angels in Red Vests are committed in ensuring fast and efficient implementation of programs and services with extra love and extra care.
