The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office V, inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with World Vision Development Foundation Incorporated in strengthening and capacitating Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program partner beneficiaries.

DSWD Regional Director Arnel B. Garcia together with Regional Program Coordinator for Administration Ms. Jaygee Masanque and Associate Director for Luzon Aniana G. Ronquillo, of World Vision signed the MOA last July 27 in DSWD Field Office V, Buraguis, Legazpi City.

The World Vision will collaborate with DSWD through conduct of Family Development Session (FDS) to strengthen its effort not just to improve lives of poor families but to help communities to be self-sustaining in the long haul.

The areas covered for implementation are Municipalities of Lagonoy, Camarines Sur, Pioduran, Albay, Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte, and Bulan, Sorsogon.

Under the said agreement, partner beneficiaries will be equipped with knowledge on various modules such as FDS, Pinoy Nutrition Hub and Credit Association (COMSCA). They (World Vision) will also be tapped as resource person to discuss topics like: “Wastong Pangangasiwa ng Pera, Kahalagahan ng Pag-iimpok, Paghahanda ng masustansiyang pagkain para sa wastong nutrisyon.”

Also, it is bound to provide capacity building activities for livelihood skills and improvement and promote gainful employment among partner beneficiaries.

At present, DSWD has partnered with 177 Civil Society Organizations benefitting 84,238 pantawid pamilya families in Bicol Region.***G.Lindio, IO-II
