Unmindful of the strong heat of the sun, about 10,000 Pantawid Pamilya Beneficiaries from the town of Camaligan, San Fernando, Milaor, Bombon, Canaman, Pili, Magarao, and Naga City joined the Unity Walk held in Naga City last April 25, 2016.
Each municipal delegation had a designated starting point then marched to Naga City Rizal Park and Naga City Quezon Square. The beneficiaries held placards bearing various messages like; “Ipagpatuloy ang Pantawid Pamilya; Ipaglaban ang kahirapan; Isulong ang CCT Bill”, etc.
According to Marilyn Balcueva of Naga City, the Parent Leaders initiated the activity to appeal for the institutionalization of Pantawid Pamilya. She said that the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program is a big help to the family.
Another Parent Leader Elisa Biag Capiz from Pili, Camarines Sur said that they want to have their voices heard by the President of the Philippines and the legislators to put into law the CCT Bill. “Kapag ang Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program ay hindi maisabatas at hindi maipagpatuloy, kaming mamamayang mahihirap ay maisasantabi na naming muli at maghihintay kung kalian muling mabibigyam nga pansin”, claims Elisa.
All the Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries are one to fight for this cause. ###eejerusalem.
