The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) has completed 1,358 sub-projects with a total grant of Php 742,895,485.60 benefiting 319,725 households in 2022.

The sub-projects were identified through DSWD KALAHI-CIDSS’ planning process with the conduct of Participatory Situational Analysis (PSA) and community consultations to respond to the needs of the community.

Regional Director Norman Laurio emphasized that KALAHI-CIDSS is primarily centered on increasing the participation of community members in local planning, project implementation, monitoring, and sustainability.

“To ensure the functionality of the sub-projects, a sustainability evaluation is conducted six months after the sub-project completion and every year thereafter,” he elaborated.

The evaluation test is administered by the Multi-Stakeholders Inspectorate Team composed of staff from selected members of municipal and barangay local governments (LGUs) and community volunteers.
