The Department of Social Welfare and Development, Field Office V has received a lot donation of 1, 800 sq.meter from the City Government of Sorsogon with the able representation of Mayor Sally Lee, the City Mayor of Sorsogon.

By virtue of Resolution no. 339, series of 2014, the Sanggunian Panlungsod ng Sorsogon City authorized the local chief executive to enter into a deed of conditional donation with DSWD Regional Director Arnel B. Garcia relative to the construction of a warehouse for disaster relief operation. The donated lot is within the premises of city hall compound Diversion road, Barangay Cabid-an , East District, Sorsogon City.

The lot was granted upon request of Director Garcia for a parcel of land for the construction of a warehouse for disaster relief.

Director Garcia expressed his appreciation with thanks and gratitude to the city government of Sorsogon . The construction of the warehouse will provide for a more viable and easier access to the supplies and provisions during disaster and or calamities.

On the other hand, Mayor Lee said that the City Government of Sorsogon and the DSWD Field Office V has always been partners and collaborators in providing the people of the city of Sorsogon with basic services, the necessary augmentation support and technical assistance relative to the implementation of social services at the local level.    #  # #eejrusalem
