Legazpi City—The DSWD Field Office 5 informs the public that the last day of registration for the educational assistance closed last February 2, 2015 covering the second semester for school year 2014-15.

 

“Lahat ng pumila kahapon ay nabigyan ng schedule for interview para sa educational assistance,” Dir. Arnel Garcia said.

 

During the registration period which started from 6AM-6PM at the regional office yesterday, more or less 3,400 beneficiaries were enlisted and scheduled for assessment from February 3 to March 31 who will receive outright a minimum of Php 2,000.00 depending on the assessment of the social worker.DSWD expects 150 beneficiaries scheduled for the assessment daily.

 

Applicants under educational assistance are required to bring the following requirements during their scheduled interview:

  • Certificate of Enrolment/Assessment Form for 2nd Semester (Photocopy)
  • School ID (Certified photocopy)
  • Certificate of residency/indigency(Original copy)
    • In the absence of the applicant, the authorized relative’s name must appear on the certificate of residency/indigency
  • Valid ID of authorized representative (Photocopy)

 

Educational assistance is under the Expanded Aid for Individuals in Crisis Situation (E-AICS)along with the regular provision of burial and medical assistance.

 

DSWD Field Office 5 caters to applicants coming from the province of Albay. Other applicants can go directly to its satellite offices in the following provinces:

  • Masbate- G/F,Balai Valencia, Ibañez St., Masbate City
  • Camarines Sur- Topaz St., Jacob ext., Naga City
  • Camarines Norte-3/F, LJR Bldg., J. Lukban Ext., Brgy. 3, Daet, Camarines Norte
  • Catanduanes-Brgy. Constantino, Virac, Catanduanes
  • Sorsogon-Lee Bldg., Quezon St., Polvorista, Sorsogon City

 

The public is advised to wait for DSWD’s announcement for the next schedule of registration under the educational assistance.
