Around 300 indigent individuals from Brgy. Rawis, Legazpi City benefited a simple merienda salu-salo from ABS-CBN Regional Network Group. The half-day activity was held at Mariners Polytechnic Colleges Foundation (MPCF) covered court on January 17, 2015 respectively.

“We are thankful to the DSWD’s Listahanan for helping us in the identification of poor barangay for our culminating event” said Jennifer Esquivel, ABS CBN Promo Coordinator.

Listahanan, the DSWD’s database of poor households provided ABS-CBN the list of poor barangays in Legazpi City as their reference in selecting which barangay to be prioritized.

With high spirit, people enjoyed in the parlor games hosted by station’s disk jockey Kapitan Nathan.

“This is our way of giving back and thanking our patronizers” Esquivel added.

Verginia Basalotte, a Pantawid Pamilya beneficiary carried her 3 siblings to take part in the said gathering. “Nag enjoy kami lalo na ang mga anak ko sa iba’t ibang palaro” she shared (We enjoyed a lot to the different games especially my kids).

The simple salu-salo was in line with the station’s celebration dubbed “ABS-CBN Thank You Sa Inyo” ###
