The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office V through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program will be conducting the National Program Review and Evaluation Workshop (NPREW) on February 10 – 14, in Legazpi City.

The NPREW is an annual activity of the Department in order to evaluate, assess the implementation and accomplishments of the program and to discuss the directions for the succeeding implementation period.

The expected participants of the activity will be Secretary Corazon Juliano-Soliman, Undersecretary Parisha H. Taradji, Dir. Honorita B. Bayudan, Dir. Ernestina Z. Solloso, Regional Directors, Assistant Regional Directors, Regional Program Coordinators, Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Officers, finance officers of Financial Management System all over the Philippines and staff of National Program and Management Office (NPMO).

According to Regional Director Arnel B. Garcia, with the continuous expansion of the Pantawid Pamilya, covering more poor families in Bicol Region and all over the Philippines, the systems policies and guidelines are being reviewed to enhance program implementation.

The NPREW will cover the review and analysis of last 2013 program operation. It will also present the results of the policy recommendations based on various consultation workshops with the program stakeholders.

The activity will also discuss the prevailing issues and concerns being experienced by the program, and to come up with solutions and recommendations.

The participants will also carefully formulate strategic plans for 2014 based on the annual thrust and priorities of the Department, present the best practices of the Regions and provide recommendations to strengthen the cooperation and team work between National and Regional level staff.***G.Lindio, Pantawid Pamilya Information Officer
