DSWD Bicol’s SLP frontline staff from the Provincial Program Management Office – Albay extended livelihood grants to program participants during the Program Payout today, July 24, in Pioduran, Albay.

LEGAZPI CITY, ALBAY – The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Field Office V, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Pioduran, Albay, has successfully disbursed PHP 12,045,000.00 to 803 participants from diverse multi-vulnerable sectors on July 24.

Each recipient received Php15,000 to bolster their livelihood initiatives and economic empowerment. Participants from sectors like agriculture, micro-enterprises, and the informal sector expressed gratitude for the timely assistance amidst challenges posed by inflation, which threatened their income-generation plans. Many plan to utilize the funds for acquiring equipment, materials, or as startup capital, ensuring sustained growth beyond immediate needs.

DSWD’s SLP is dedicated to uplifting marginalized communities by providing sustainable livelihood opportunities. This recent disbursement underscores the government’s commitment to combating poverty and fostering inclusive economic growth.
