Legazpi City- The Department of Social Welfare and Development, Field Office 5 was awarded with the Certificate of Revalidation (Level II- Accredited Status). The awarding and commitment building ceremony was held last April 8, 2014 at the Civil Service Commission, Regional Office 5, Arimbay Legazpi City.

Director Arnel P. Garcia received the award from CSC Regional Director Cecilia Nieto.

The award is in recognition for the Field Office for having continuously met the requirements for Level II-Accredited Status. This is pursuant to CSC Resolution No 1301682 which provides to take final action on its appointments under the program to institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management.

On the other hand, Ms. Lorna Rebanal, Administrative Officer V and Head of the Human Resource Development were given Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of her devotion and dedication to duty which significantly contributed to the successful revalidation of the DSWD, Field Office 5 as level II- Accredited Status.

About 20 institutions; SUCs, Local Government Units, National Government Agencies were given same recognition.

Part of the momentous event was the signing of the Memorandum of Commitment and the recitation of the Pledge of Commitment by all the agency representatives.

The agencies are likewise encouraged to aspire to qualify for Level III- Deregulated status by initiating innovations/enhancements to eventually qualify for the Center for Excellence/ Seal of Excellence, a recognition given by the Civil Service. #eejerusalem/aubreyllamoso
