In pursuant to provide sustainable intervention through skills development and possible employment of the Pantawid Pamilya the DSWD, Field Office 5 forged a mutual covenant with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Camarines Sur recently.

This technical vocational education and training is under the Accelerated and sustainable Anti-Poverty Program (ASAPP) which will benefit about 1,000 Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries from Libmanan, Sipocot, Bato and Iriga City.

The Accelerated and Sustainable Anti-Poverty Program (ASAPP) is geared in tapping the skills and resources of the poor in enabling private enterprise to afford their production. With ASAPP, the government aims to bring down poverty incidence in 2016 by creating income opportunities for the poor and enhancing their employment.

TESDA shall conduct 21 varied vocational courses and will be conducted in the desired venue like technical and vocational schools in Camarines Sur.

Meanwhile, the DSWD allocated and transfer the amount of 9.9M to TESDA, Camarines Sur. The amount will be used to purchase tool kits needed for the training and for the food and transportation allowance of the trainees. Each trainee will receive P306.00 per day for the required number of days which is according to their respective training module.

The DSWD shall likewise be responsible to validate the eligibility of the trainee fit for the module and provide continuous technical assistance and capacity building support to the beneficiaries. ##eejerusalem
