The Local Government Unit of Sorsogon City warmly received the 82 graduates of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) on February 29, 2024, during the celebrated Pugay Tagumpay 2024 at the People’s Mansion Capitol Compound, Burabod, Sorsogon City. Along with this reception comes the assurance of the continuous provision of appropriate programs and services aimed at their specific development.

The ceremony was spearheaded by officials from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Pantawid Pamilya City Operations Office (COO) in partnership with the Sorsogon City LGU under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Ma. Ester E. Hamor.

The said activity was attended by personnel from various agencies in the Province of Sorsogon. Among them were Maria Rosabelle B. Bayomo, Social Worker from the Sorsogon City Social Welfare and Development Office; Medilina Fernando, Assistant City Agriculturist; Mary Jane L. Rolda, Provincial Head of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE); Edna J. Gestole, DOLE; and Henry C. Guemo, Manager of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO). They also expressed their continued collaboration with the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program to further enhance the program’s implementation in the locality.

The Sorsogon City Local Government also provided Family Food Packs for the graduating beneficiaries of the program. The LGU also ensured the provision of food for the entire day’s event.

Pugay Tagumpay was held to honor the beneficiaries of Pantawid who have shown positive changes and progress in their lives through the program, in collaboration with the LGU and partner agencies.
